Through sports, it aims to nurture unity, discipline, and perseverance among students while encouraging a healthy lifestyle and instilling values of teamwork and sportsmanship. The motto, “Unity Through Victory, Strength Through Diversity,” encapsulates their spirit. Club responsibilities encompass organizing events, ensuring a safe sports environment, promoting fitness, coaching, budget management, and creating an inclusive space for diverse students. The club also represents the university in intercollegiate competitions, fostering pride and camaraderie. Notable events include the Auro Premier League, Fitness Carnival, Box Cricket League, and Volleyball Tournament, contributing to the holistic growth of every student involved.

NSS Club

The NSS Unit at Auro University was established in 2018 to instil a sense of social responsibility in students, as advocated by Mahatma Gandhi. The club’s motto, “Not Me But You,” guides its purpose. The club’s duties include active community engagement, focusing on areas like education, healthcare, skill development, and socio-economic empowerment, all aimed at uplifting the less privileged. They prioritize the welfare of others over personal interests, embodying selflessness and cooperation in line with their motto. Notable events organized by the club include the Tarang Patriotic Singing Competition and the Gandhi Engineering Idea Competition, in collaboration with AURO Innovation and Continuing Education Centre, NSS-AURO University, TiE Surat, and SSIP – Gujarat Govt. chapter.

Legal Aid Cell

Justice, Liberty, and Equality are among the objectives that the Indian Constitution upholds. “AURO LEGAL AID AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CELL” is a nonprofit organisation that supports legal assistance, legal education, and legal research. The faculty convenor and law school students, who voluntarily serve as paralegal volunteers to offer free legal aid to the community, are in charge of the cell. The clinic’s activities include preparing a notice in the event of animal cruelty, filing an RTI application to the Ministry of Tourism, counselling and settlement in divorce disputes, counselling for adoption, counselling in the case of a cyber offence, and therapy. Additionally, the clinic has registered for Indian Mediation Week 18, an initiative supported by the Government of India’s Ministry of Law and Justice.

Women Development Cell

The Women Development Cell, established in September 2017 at AURO University, ensures a safe and dignified environment for women employees and students. It promotes gender equality, addresses harassment issues, and conducts awareness programs. Events like a Cooking Competition and Health Awareness Camp empower women. Celebrations, including International Women’s Day, feature prominent guests and activities like logo launches, readings, quizzes, and talk shows. Meanwhile, the AURO Art and Creativity Cell, held during summer breaks, fosters artistic expression and self-discovery among participants of all ages. Sessions feature activities like Glass Painting, encouraging creativity and personal growth.

AURO Innovation and Continuing Education Centre

AURO University’s AIIC (Auro Innovation and Incubation Cell) spearheads SSIP activities since its establishment in May 2018, backed by significant grants from the government and the university. With over 125 registered ideas/projects, the cell disbursed 4.10 lakh grants to 60 teams. Five startups emerged from AURO incubation in Surat, reflecting sustained support. The university fosters innovation through events like Festival of Ideas and Gandhian Engineering Idea Competition. Additionally, it offers Entrepreneurship courses and plans a Community Lab for grassroots-driven life sciences. Establishing a Section 8 Company is a forthcoming milestone, highlighting AURO’s commitment to nurturing entrepreneurial ventures and societal innovation.
