As part of the International Mother Language Day celebrations and in alignment with the Viksit Bharat @2047 initiative, the School of Liberal Arts and Human Sciences cordially invites you to participate in a special poetry recitation event that celebrates the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of India.

About the Event

Many Tongues One Soul/Sau Rang Ek Sang” is a unique opportunity to express yourself through poetry in any Indian language of your choice. Participants may recite original compositions or works by published poets in any regional language of India, as well as poems in English written by Indian authors or by themselves. We welcome recitations that explore any of the following themes:

  • Childhoods reimagined: Nostalgic reflections on growing up in India
  • Indian Heritage: Celebrating our rich cultural tapestry
  • Mythical ode: Poems on India’s vast mythology
  • Philosophical poems: Contemplations on life’s deeper questions
  • Devotional ode: Expressions of spiritual connection
  • The passion in you: Unveiling inner strength and emotion
  • Words beyond borders: Multilingual poetry blending different languages
  • Voice of love: Expressions of love in all its forms
  • Patriotism: Nuanced reflections on national identity
  • Unheard cries/ground of grief: Giving voice to silenced struggles
  • Desified living: The blend of tradition and modernity
  • Moj and Masti: Humorous takes on Indian life

Participation Details

  • The event is open to ALL members of Auro University – students, faculty, and staff
  • Recitation time: 2-3 minutes per participant
  • Certificates will be awarded to all participants
