AURO University [AU], Earth space, Surat  Gujarat, has been formally established under the Gujarat State Private Universities Act, 2009, and   U/S 2(F), 22 of the UGC Act, 1956, and Regulations, 2003.

Backed by the strong will and commitment of Shri H. P. Rama, Founder President of the University supported by the Rama family based in the USA, & Auro Group of Hotels,  AURO University has been founded and inspired by the Vision and teachings of Sri Aurobindo and the Divine Mother.

AU’s Vision is to be a Premier University of ‘Integral and Transformational Learning’  for Future Leaders.

AU has established  07 Schools, viz., School of  Hospitality, School of  Business, School of  Design, School of  Information Technology, School of  Law, School of  Liberal Arts & Human Sciences, and School of  Journalism & Mass Communications, that offers various Academic Programs at Under-Graduate (UG), Post-Graduate (PG) level, and a Ph.D. Programme (Doctoral Research Degree) to impart ‘Integral and Transformative Education’ that manifests the ‘Physical, Mental, Vital and Spiritual’  being during Teaching-Learning Process.

AU’s  Sri Aurobindo Integral Life Centre (SAILC) is the Soul of the University, to act as a source of inspiration and learning for perfecting oneself for Humanity’s evolutionary journey.

AU has developed and maintains the state-of-the-art Physical, Information Technology and Sports infrastructure to enable students to deliver the ‘Auro Experience’ of an International University.                

AU’s lush green campus has the most modernized amenities and facilities to help us build the learner’s global competitive mindset.                          

AU  provides high-speed Wi-Fi Connectivity across the Campus and has developed a Hi-Tech Automated Library. 

AU  has built the most modern Boys’ and Girls’ Hostels with various facilities, amenities, and spaces for various co-curricular activities.

To achieve academic excellence, AU has developed well-equipped Smart Classrooms, Computer Laboratories, a Language Laboratory, a Media Laboratory, a Design Studio, 02 Auditoriums and, an Executive Master Class Room, a Digitally-Enabled Fashion & Textile Design Workshop, an Art & Poetry Workshop  & Communications & Interspace Design Workshop for Practical and Experiential Learning for Students of the School of  Design, a huge Student Activity Center and other open space to facilitate the conduct of  Convocation, and Students’ Cultural and Recreation Activities.  

AU’s Sports infrastructure includes a  Cricket Ground, Basketball Ground, Volleyball,  Football Ground, and Lawn Tennis Ground, along with facilities for Indoor Sports (Carom, Table Tennis, Chess, Pool, Snooker, etc.)  and a well-equipped Gymnasium-Cum-Fitness Canter, and to provide the spiritual experience with a Meditation Room, and an Exhibition Room on the life of Sri Aurobindo.  

AU has also established various Centers in the area of Arts & Creativity, Language Learning, Rural Management, Innovation & Incubation & Entrepreneurship, Family Business, and   Legal Aid Clinic.

At AURO, we encourage students to engage in a rigorous process of learning and Self-Discovery to ensure their holistic growth and development in business and society. The pedagogical tools adopted by the facilitators provide ample opportunity to exhibit talent and grab the opportunity to realise one’s potential to the fullest.  AU follows tag line of ‘Leaners to Leaders’.

AU has made significant progress since its inception in 2012  and has produced notable and proud worthy alumni.  For the School of IT and Business, the curriculum is offered in Collaboration with IBM-ICE to promote collaborative learning. For the School of Hospitality, AU organizes paid International Internships in the 3rd  Year with the collaborative support of  Marriot in the USA.                            

AU has entered into many MoUs with Industry & Corporate Houses, Reputed International & Indian Universities, Government Departments, Other Academic Institutions, Research Organizations and   Not-for-Profit  Organisations.

AU continually invites distinguished Integral Education Experts, Practising Professionals, Business Leaders, Thought Leaders, Eminent Educationists, Researchers, Transformational Reformers, Social Thinkers and Life Coach from amongst from all walks of life to share their valuable learnings and experiences with faculty members and students.

AU is very progressive in the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020.  I am pleased to share that the 4-year New Academic Structure under Credit Framework as per Guidelines of the UGC  to offer Under- Graduate Degrees with Honours shall be implemented w.e.f. the Academic Year 2023-2024.  

AU has already approved adopting regulations for Registration for the Academic Bank of Credit (ABC)’; National Academic Depository’ and  Academic Integrity Norms as per the Guidelines of the UGC, New Delhi w. .e. f. the Academic Year 2023-2024. AU offers various scholarships to needy and deserving students.
